My son asked me to paint a picture of a permit for him. I assumed he meant a fishing permit until he informed me that
a permit is a type of fish somewhat like a pompano. Fishing friends provided permit photos, but I thought that there was something
just a little too boring about painting only the fish. Since they eat fingerling mullet which are by nature vegetarian permits
must resort to other tricks to catch supper. This permit uses hypnosis and sonar to lure the unwary mini-mullets. If you check
the weeds to the right in the image you'll see a primate hiding there, and he, of course, is a sea monkey---monkey sea, monkey
dew (a new highly caffeinated but tasty beverage).
