Toiletrees, Deciduous, Autumn

Toiletrees.jpg

A forest of trees with WCs
Hanging from every limb
Brings tears to my eyes
As I realize
How hard such trees are to trim.

I attended a display of etchings of Jean-Francois Millet a 19th century French artist of the Barbizon School of painting. His line etchings had a quality which I tried to emulate in my rendering of toilets dangling from a dormant deciduous tree that had recently lost its plumbing fixtures. Yes, you say, most trees are unassociated with toilets, but in this case the leaves were loos, and they fell off.
The original etching image is 5.75" x 8.75", done in 2002, and is from an unnumbered edition.
